Definitely the chase day of the season for most SE Qld chasers. Shear and instability was screaming supercells this day and it certainly didn't disappoint. A line of supercells developed west and south west of Brisbane early in the afternoon and moved across the suburbs mid-afternoon before clearing out to sea. A second line of storms developed in the moist humid atmosphere behind these and produced a jaw-dropping guster. Two tornadoes occurred on the day and hail to the size of cricket balls was reported.
