28th November 2007

Still in the Top End, we headed out to Kakadu National Park. We visited Ubirr and Nourlangie where we saw some amazing aboriginal art which dates back tens of thousands of years. We were treated to some distant storms across the plains from the top of the Ubirr rocks. Nourlangie is where Namarrgon is painted. To the aboriginals, Namarrgon is the Lightning Man - the man who creates the spectacular thunderstorms which roll across the Top End every wet season. We were fortunate enough to experience one of these storms whilst visiting this place - a very moving experience.
