I retreated back to the Centenary Hwy/Ipswich Mwy intersection where I watched the storm take shape.

Looking WSW. Interesting to see the updraft base (higher up) on the top left of this image.

Looking very ominous to the SW. Storm was south of Redbank/Collingwood Park at this stage.

I decided to head west along the Ipswich Mwy...it was VERY dark (at 4pm!) with street lights on and a beastly green storm. Bellbird Park (just S of here) had 43mm of rain in 15 minutes.

Pan

A dodgey pan of the storm showing the size of it (90 degrees of the sky). Looked quite nice at the time :). The Gap was smashed about 25-30mins after these photos.
