A nice upper trough and a few days to build up some moisture and you'd never have known it was August which is often a dry month filled with westerly winds and dry frontal changes. A nice bonus to ease the SDS in the lead up to spring.

After receiving a radar update, I headed west through Woodford and Kilcoy before stopping near Toogoolawah where I scored some nice lightning.

Chris and I did a short hike to this lookout which is 400m above the bottom of the Canyon with spectacular views at the end.
