After chasing the previous day in south west Kansas, we booked it south the southern plains of Texas and chased some very photogenic supercells from near Lamesa to Childress (quite a hike).

Check this out for a photo. Taken out the front windscreen whilst driving, I managed to get this awesome burst of cloud to ground lightning!! One of my favourite lightning pics I have taken!

We stayed the night in Childress and before we went to bed another storm came through and I scored this AWESOME full frame bolt. This is at full wide angle 10mm - it was CLOSE.
